The highly awaited MG Cyberster EV is finally coming to India. MG Motor has confirmed that the electric roadster will launch in India on July 25. MG Cyberster: What’s on offer?

MG Cyberster stands at dimensions of 4,533mm x 1,912mm x 1,328mm and has a 2,689mm wheelbase. Its design is inspired by MG B Roadsters from the 1960s. The front fascia of the EV flaunts swanky LED headlamps, a closed-off grille, and split air intake vents. The profile of the EV gives a glimpse of its K-tail silhouette and the retractable roof. It is designed to be highly aerodynamic. The scissor doors of the electric roadster have dual sensors for safety. At the back, a sleek LED strip runs through the width of the car. The turn indicators are shaped like arrows.

Inside, the MG Cyberster will feature a 3-screen wraparound cockpit consisting of a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a digital instrument cluster, and another display connecting the dashboard to the central console. The infotainment system will be compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. It will also rock features like an 8-speaker Bose audio system, power-adjustable heated seats with a memory function, an electric folding roof, and more. There will also be a Level 2 ADAS package onboard.

Mechanical duties on the MG Cyberster will be handled by two oil-cooled electric motors. These motors are positioned on either axle and can produce a combined maximum power output of 510hp and 725Nm of torque. MG claims that the roadster can go from 0-100kmph in just 3.2 seconds. Its top speed has been capped at 201kmph. The 77kWh battery pack offers a driving range of 444km on a full charge. The Cyberster has a 50:50 weight distribution, which helps it achieve greater stability at high speeds. It is also equipped with a front double wishbone and a rear five-link independent suspension.

The MG Cyberster will be made available in 4 colour options: Cosmic Silver, Inca Yellow, English White, and Dynamic Red. In overseas markets, the roadster is available in 2 more paint shades and a single electric motor option. In India, the MG Cyberster will rival the Tesla Model Y, Hyundai Ioniq 5, Volvo EC40Mercedes-Benz EQABMW iX1, and Kia EV6.
