Renault Triber launched in India at Rs 6.30 lakh

Renault India has updated the Triber MPV with a facelifted model. Prices for the Renault Triber facelift start at Rs 6.30 lakh. It is available in 4 trim levels: Authentic, Evolution, Techno, and Emotion. The top-spec variant fetches Rs 9.17 lakh. The facelifted model gets cosmetic tweaks and feature upgrades, but remains unchanged under the hood.

Renault Triber facelift: Everything you need to know

Here is the price list for all the variants of the Renault Triber facelift.

The front fascia of the Renault Triber facelift has been completely revamped. The gloss black grille is slimmer and has chunky diagonal slats. Flanking this grille on either side are redesigned LED headlamps and DRLs. The bumper gets a larger air intake unit. The design of the fog lamp housings on this bumper has been tweaked as well. The Triber facelift also marks the debut of the Renault diamond logo.

The profile of the updated MPV remains largely unchanged. The 15-inch flex steel wheels sport a new look. Buyers can upgrade to alloy wheels for a premium of Rs 9,990. The chrome door handles on the back doors have been replaced with gloss black units. The smoky LED tail lamps are connected by a black trim. The TRIBER lettering has been replaced by the new Renault logo that sits lower than its previous position.

Inside, the Renault Triber facelift gets a black and beige colour theme for its upholstery. Its dashboard layout is inspired by the Kiger SUV. The positions of the AC vents and the central screen have been changed as well. The MPV rocks an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, second and third row AC vents, a start/stop push button, and wireless charging.

On the safety front, the Renault Triber facelift gets 6 airbags as a standard feature. Other features include a 360-degree camera, ABS, front parking sensors, cruise control, a Tyre Pressure Monitoring Sensor, traction control, hill hold assist, and ISOFIX child anchorages.

No changes have been made under the hood of the Renault Triber MPV. The 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder, naturally aspirated petrol engine generates a maximum power output of 72hp and 96Nm of torque. It can be mated to a 5-speed manual or automatic gearbox.

Final Thoughts

Renault will start the delivery rollout for the Triber MPV in the coming weeks. It remains to be seen whether Renault will add a turbo petrol powertrain option to the MPV’s lineup. As things stand, the Triber rivals Maruti Suzuki ErtigaToyota Rumion, and Kia Carens  in India.
