Standard Range CLA 200 Rs 55 lakh

Long Range ‘Launch Edition’ CLA 250+ Rs 64 lakh

The CLA EV stands at dimensions of 4,723mm x 1,855mm x 1,468mm. This makes it 30mm longer, 25mm wider, and 25mm taller than its predecessor. It is the first Mercedes-Benz offering to be underpinned by the automaker’s new MMA platform. It has a 2,790mm wheelbase.

The front fascia of the electric sedan features a shark-nose design. The shut-off grille flaunts an illuminated Mercedes-Benz logo along with 142 chrome-effect backlit stars. The multi-beam LED headlights are integrated with DRLs in the shape of the Mercedes-Benz star. This setup is connected by a full-width light bar.

The profile of the CLA reveals its coupe-inspired sloping roofline. The frameless doors bring a touch of luxury to the sedan. It rests on 18-inch aero-optimised AMG alloy wheels. At the back, the LED tail lamps are designed in the shape of the Mercedes-Benz star, similar to the DRLs up front. These tail lamps are connected by a light bar. The CLA ‘Launch Edition’ gets an exclusive Cosmic Black Magno paint shade and 19-inch alloys.

Inside, the CLA EV flaunts a 14-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a 10.25-inch digital driver’s display. The area of the dashboard in front of the passenger is covered in illuminated three-pointed stars. The AMG Line styling package adds a flat-bottomed steering wheel, while the Launch Edition gets a triple-screen setup along with leather upholstery, edition-specific ambient lighting, and more enhancements. Other features of the EV include a panoramic glass sunroof, a Burmester 3D audio system, a dual-zone automatic climate control system, wireless charging, and more. On the safety front, the electric sedan gets 6 airbags, a 360-degree camera, a Level 2+ ADAS package, and more features.

The Standard Range variant is equipped with a 58kWh battery pack that can go up to 542km on a full charge. The rear-mounted electric motor powering this motor generates a maximum power output of 224hp and 335Nm. It can go from 0-100km/h in 7.5 seconds. Meanwhile, the Long Range variant packs an 85kWh battery with a 792km driving range. Its rear-mounted electric motor puts out 272hp and 225Nm. It can go from 0-100km/h in 6.7 seconds.

The 800V architecture of the new MMA platform allows the CLA EV to support fast charging up to 320kW. A short 10-minute charge can replenish the battery pack to go up to 300km.
