Mahindra XEV 9e gets a Cineluxe Edition, priced at Rs 29.35 lakh

Mahindra XEV 9e Cineluxe Edition has launched in India at Rs 29.35 lakh. The automaker has started accepting bookings for the special edition SUV. The delivery rollout will commence on March 10. The Cineluxe Edition is based on the Pack Three (79kWh) variant of the XEV 9e. It gets special colour themes for the exterior and cabin.

Mahindra XEV 9e Cineluxe Edition: What’s on offer?

The Cineluxe Edition of the Mahindra XEV 9e comes in 2 exclusive paint shades – Satin Black and Satin White. The rear pillars get exclusive ‘Cineluxe’ badging. No other cosmetic changes have been made to the electric SUV. Since the special edition is based on the Pack Three trim, it gets 19-inch alloy wheels, a powered tailgate, and a full LED setup at the front and the back.

The Cineluxe Edition gets Chestnut Brown and Nocturne Black smooth-grain leatherette interiors. There are special accents on the gear selector and the steering wheel. The trims on the dashboard and doors add a splash of colour to the cabin. The leatherette seats have contrasting brown stitching. No changes have been made to the instrumentation and feature list of the special edition model. It carries forward the coast-to-coast triple HD display setup and the 16-speaker Harmon Kardon sound system with Dolby Atmos from the Pack Three trim. Other features include ambient lighting, a panoramic sunroof, an AR heads-up display, wireless charging, and more.

Mahindra XEV 9e Cineluxe Edition: What’s on offer?

The Mahindra XEV 9e is powered by a single electric motor mounted on the rear axle. Its 79kWh variants generate a maximum power output of 286hp and 380Nm. The electric SUV can go from 0-100km/h in 7.45 seconds. Meanwhile, the 59kWh variants put out 231hp and 380Nm. The 79kWh battery pack offers a 500km driving range. Mahindra has not specified which charger is available with the Cineluxe Edition. The regular model is available with 2 units – 7.2kW and 11kW, at a premium of Rs 50,000 and Rs 75,000, respectively.

Final Thoughts

Prices for the regular lineup of the Mahindra XEV 9e start at Rs 21.90 lakh and go up to Rs 31.25 lakh. The Cineluxe Edition is sandwiched between the 59kWh Pack Three Select and 79kWh Pack Three variants. It rivals the likes of the BYD Atto 3, Hyundai Ioniq 5, and Tata Harrier EV in India.
