Kia Syros: What to expect?
The teasers dropped by Kia for its upcoming SUV hint at a similar design language as the EV9. The front fascia is highlighted by vertical LED headlamps with integrated DRLs. The SUV has an upright nose and a boxy silhouette. The roof is expected to be flat at the rear fascia will have a similar upright posture. This will do wonders for the cabin space.
The Kia Syros will have a 5-seat interior layout. The automaker will deck the SUV with premium features like a large touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a digital instrument cluster, a panoramic sunroof, wireless charging, and an ADAS package.
Talking about the powertrain, the Kia Syros will come with 2 engine options – a 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine and a 1.5-litre diesel engine. The turbo petrol engine will generate a maximum power output of 120hp and 172Nm of torque. Buyers will have the option to link this engine with a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed DCT gearbox. Meanwhile, the diesel engine will produce a maximum power output of 115hp and 250Nm of torque.
