Kia EV6 facelift launched in India at Rs 65.90 lakh

The 2025 Kia EV6 facelift has been launched in India at the price of Rs 65.90 lakh. It is available in a single variant – GT Line AWD. Globally, the EV6 is also available in entry-level RWD and top-spec GT trims. The electric SUV was showcased at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo back in January. The facelifted model gets cosmetic and instrumentation updates along with a bigger battery.

Kia EV6 facelift: What’s new?

The Kia EV6 remains unchanged dimensionally, spanning 4,695mm in length, 1,890mm in width, and 1,570mm in height. It has a 2,900mm wheelbase. The front and rear bumpers of the SUV have been reworked. The character lines on the hood extend to the air intake vent. The LED DRLs of the SUV now feature Kia’s Star Map pattern. This design pattern has been applied to the tail lamps as well.

Inside, the Kia EV6 facelift features twin 12.3-inch displays for the touchscreen infotainment system and the digital instrument cluster. The touchscreen infotainment system supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The new three-spoke steering wheel is branded with the Kia logo on the right. The SUV is equipped with a fingerprint sensor for driver detection. The head-up display and digital rear-view mirror have been slightly tweaked for a better driving experience. Other features include Digital Key 2.0, Remote Smart Parking Assist 2, wireless charging, ambient lighting, and more. There is an ADAS package on board for added safety. The EV6 facelift has been awarded a 5-star safety rating by Euro NCAP.

The Kia EV6 facelift is underpinned by the Electric Global Modular Platform (E-GMP). It now rocks a larger 84kWh battery pack. On a full charge, the EV offers a driving range of 663km. A 350kW DC fast charger can charge the battery pack from 10% to 80% in 18 minutes. A 50kW DC charger takes 73 minutes to accomplish the same feat.

The GT-Line variant of the Kia EV6 facelift is powered by two electric motors mounted on the front and rear axles. These motors produce a combined power output of 325hp and 605Nm of torque. The outgoing model produced the same numbers. The facelifted model can go from 0-100kmph in 5.2 seconds, which makes it 0.1 seconds slower than its outgoing counterpart.

Final Thoughts

The Kia EV6 facelift is available in 5 colour options – Snow White Pearl, Yacht Blue Matt, Runway Red, Wolf Gray, and Aurora Black Pearl. Kia is also working on all-electric models for the Carens MPV and Syros SUV. Meanwhile, the EV6 rivals the Hyundai Ioniq 5, Volvo EX40, and BYD Sealion 7 in India.
