Jeep Compass and Meridian: Adventure Assured Program

The Adventure Assured Program for Jeep Compass and Meridian offers buyers a range of services along with their SUV purchase. One of the most popular parts of this program is the 55% buyback offered by the automaker after 3-4 years of ownership. Jeep has also imposed a driving limit of 20,000km per year for this buyback clause to be valid.

Buyers also get an annual maintenance package that covers services like battery and tyre repairs, vehicle inspection, and more. It also includes round-the-clock roadside assistance for matters related to tyre repair, battery malfunction, and more. Jeep is also providing insurance cover for the first year of ownership.

Jeep Compass gets two powertrain options while the Meridian is only offered with a diesel engine. This 2.0-litre diesel engine produces a maximum power output of 170hp and 350Nm peak torque. Transmission options include a 6-speed manual and a 9-speed torque convertor automatic gearbox. The 1.4-litre petrol engine on Jeep Compass generates a power output of  163hp and 250Nm torque. This engine is mated to a 7-speed DCT. The manual gearbox for the petrol variant of Compass was discontinued last year. Both SUVs come with 4WD variants as well.

Conclusion

Back in April, Jeep slashed the prices for the entry-level variants of Compass and Meridian by Rs 1.08 lakh and Rs 2.35 lakh respectively. Jeep Compass rivals the higher variants of MG Hector and Tata Harrier along with other premium SUVs like Citroen C5, Volkswagen Tiguan, and Hyundai Tucson.
