2nd-gen Hyundai Venue: What to expect?

Lots of interesting design changes are expected on the new Hyundai Venue. While the SUV will retain its boxy profile, it will follow the design language of Hyundai’s newer crop of SUVs. Its front fascia will look very similar to Creta’s. The SUV will rock a split headlamp arrangement with vertical LED DRLs flanking each side. The grille will have a rectangular pattern.

No changes are expected to the silhouette of the new Venue. However, it will get a new design for its 16-inch alloy wheels and thicker body cladding along the wheel arches. The LED tail lamps will also sport a new look. A sleek light bar will connect the two tail lamps.

The Hyundai Venue test mules spotted so far have not revealed any details about their interior. We expect Hyundai to update the dashboard layout, steering wheel, upholstery, and cabin. We wouldn’t be surprised if it gets a bigger infotainment display. The current-gen Venue uses an 8-inch display with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support. On higher variants, the 2025 Venue will offer premium features like a panoramic sunroof, ventilated seating, a Level 2 ADAS package, and more.

Things will remain the same under the hood, as the 2nd-gen Hyundai Venue will retain the 3 powertrain options from the current-gen model. The 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine produces a maximum power output of 83hp and 114Nm of torque. This engine can be mated to a 5-speed manual or a 7-speed DCT gearbox. The 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine puts out 120hp and 170Nm. This engine can also be paired with a 5-speed manual or a 7-speed DCT gearbox. Lastly, the 1.5-litre diesel engine generates a maximum power output of 115hp and 250Nm of torque. This engine is only available with a 6-speed manual transmission.

Final Thoughts

The current-gen Hyundai Venue is priced between Rs 7.94 lakh and Rs 13.62 lakh. The SUV was last updated in 2022. It is one of the most successful compact SUVs in the market right now. Its next-gen version will demand a small premium. We expect its prices to start at Rs 8 lakh. Upon launch, it will continue to rival Kia Sonet, Tata Nexon, Mahindra XUV 3XO, Skoda Kylaq, Maruti Suzuki Fronx, and Maruti Suzuki Brezza.
