Hyundai Venue has crossed the 6 lakh domestic sales landmark. First introduced in May 2019, it took the compact SUV almost 5.5 years to achieve this feat. In Hyundai India’s portfolio, the Venue ranks second in sales, trailing behind Creta. Hyundai Creta is the most popular midsize SUV in India, amassing more than 1 million sales since its launch.

Here is the year-wise breakdown of Hyundai Venue’s sales.

Hyundai sold 1,28,897 units of the Venue in FY2024, making it the most successful sales period since the launch of the SUV. In comparison, the Venue’s sales in the current fiscal are down by 12% (YoY). The current facelifted version of the SUV was launched in 2022.
It took Hyundai Venue just 6 months to garner the first 50,000 sales. The 1 lakh and 1.5 lakh sales milestones were achieved in 15 and 25 months respectively. After 30 months from launch, the Venue had sold 2.50 lakh units in India. In April 2023, the SUV crossed the 3 lakh sales landmark, taking just 3 years to get there. The next 2 lakh sales came in 22 months. By November 2023, Hyundai Venue had accumulated 5 lakh sales in India.
Hyundai Venue is available in 3 powertrain options. The 1.2-litre petrol engine produces a maximum power output of 83hp and 114Nm of torque. The 1.0-litre turbo petrol generates a maximum power output of 120hp and 172Nm of torque. Lastly, the 1.5-litre diesel engine puts out 116hp and 250Nm. The petrol variants of the SUV can be had in a 5-speed manual, 6-speed manual, and 7-speed DCT gearbox options. The diesel engine is available with a 6-speed manual gearbox only.

Prices for Hyundai Venue start at Rs 7.94 lakh and go up to Rs 13.53 lakh. It is available in 26 variants. Last year, Hyundai added a basic ADAS package to some of the Venue variants. In India, the Hyundai Venue rivals the Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Renault Kiger, Nissan Magnite, Tata Nexon, Kia Sonet, Toyota Urban Cruiser, and Mahindra XUV300.
