MG Windsor Pro EV: Prices, specs, and other details

Here is the price list for all the standard and Pro variants of the MG Windsor EV.

Variant Price BaaS Price
Excite (38kWh) Rs 14 lakh Rs 10 lakh (Rs 3.9/km)
Exclusive (38kWh) Rs 15.05 lakh Rs 10.99 lakh (Rs 3.9/km)
Essence (38kWh) Rs 16.15 lakh Rs 11.99 lakh (Rs 3.9/km)
Exclusive Pro (52.9kWh) Rs 17.25 lakh Rs 12.24 lakh (Rs 4.5/km)
Essence Pro (52.9kWh) Rs 18.10 lakh Rs 13.09 lakh (Rs 4.5/km)

Apart from the new alloy wheel design, the MG Windsor Pro EV retains all of the aesthetic elements from the standard model. The new alloy wheel design on the Pro model has been lifted from the Hector SUV. The compact LED headlamps, sleek LED DRLs, and the LED light bars at the front and back have been carried forward from the regular model. 3 new colour options have been introduced for the Pro model: Celadon Blue, Glaze Red, and Aurora Silver.

More notable upgrades come inside the EV, as the Pro model packs a 9-speaker Infinity system comprising 4 speakers, 4 tweeters, and one subwoofer. It also gets a 15.6-inch touchscreen system and an 8.8-inch digital instrument cluster. The Pro model also flaunts Vehicle-to-Vehicle (V2V) and Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) functionalities. This allows the EV to charge other electric cars and electronic devices. Other feature additions include a powered tailgate and a Level 2 ADAS package.

The biggest separator between the standard and Pro models of the Windsor EV is the battery pack. The MG Windsor Pro EV packs a much larger 52.9kWh battery. On a full charge, this battery pack offers a 449km driving range. In comparison, the 38kWh battery pack on the standard model has a 331km driving range. The bigger battery pack takes up to 9.5 hours to fully charge using the 7.2kW home charger. Meanwhile, a 60kW DC fast charger can take it from 20 to 80% in 50 minutes. Due to the larger battery pack, the boot space has shrunk from 604 litres to 579 litres.

The mechanical output numbers of the MG Windsor Pro EV remain unchanged from the standard model. The EV continues to produce a maximum power output of 136hp and 200Nm of torque from its front-axle-mounted single electric motor.
