Key Highlights
Jeep recently completed 8 years of operations in India. As a part of the 8th anniversary celebrations, the automaker is offering discounts of up to Rs 2.50 lakh on the Compass and Meridian SUVs. Walk-in customers can avail discounts on selected variants of the Wrangler and Grand Cherokee SUVs. These discounts are valid till August 31.

The Jeep Compass is available with cash offers worth up to Rs 2.50 lakh. Meanwhile, the cash offers for the Meridian are limited to Rs 2 lakh. Additional discounts are also available in the form of exchange benefits, corporate bonuses, and loyalty offers. After-sales offers for the two SUVs are available till August 17. These include 7.8% off on labour charges, car care treatments, and body repairs.
The Jeep Compass and Meridian SUVs are powered by the 2.0-litre MultiJet diesel engine. This unit produces a maximum power output of 168hp and 350Nm peak torque. Transmission options include a 6-speed manual and a 9-speed automatic gearbox. The SUV can go from 0-100 km/h in 10.8 seconds and can attain a top speed of 198 km/h.

Jeep India will launch the facelifted versions of the Compass and Meridian SUVs later this year. Both SUVs have also received a price cut this year. Prices for Jeep Compass start at Rs 18.99 lakh and go up to Rs 32.41 lakh. It rivals the likes of Citroen C5, Volkswagen Tiguan, and Hyundai Tucson. Meanwhile, the Meridian is priced between Rs 31.23 lakh and Rs 39.83 lakh and rivals the Toyota Fortuner, MG Gloster, Skoda Kodiaq, and Nissan X-Trail.
