Prices for the Citroen C3 have been hiked yet again this year. This time the hatchback gets its price bumped by Rs 18,000. Back in January, prices for the C3 were hiked by Rs 27,000. The Citroen C3 range now starts at Rs 6.16 lakh. The hatchback was launched in July 2022 at a starting price of Rs 5.70 lakh.

Citroen C3 is available in two powertrains – 1.2L Puretech 110 and 1.2L Puretech 82. The former is a 1.2-litre three-cylinder turbo petrol engine coupled with a 6-speed transmission, producing a maximum power of 110hp and 190Nm torque. The Puretech 82 is a 1.2-litre three-cylinder naturally aspirated engine mated to a 5-speed transmission, producing a maximum power of 82hp and 115Nm torque.
Inside, the Citroen C3 gets a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a digital instrument cluster, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, keyless entry, tilt-adjustable steering, and steering-mounted controls. The hatchback also receives dual airbags on the front along with a parking sensor.
Citroen also launched its debut electric hatchback this year. Citroen eC3 is based on the C3, the only difference between the two cars being their powertrain. Powering the Citroen eC3 is a single electric motor that can produce a peak power output of 57hp and 143Nm torque. In comparison, the ICE C3 produces 110hp and 190Nm. Its nearest rival, Tata Tiago EV produces a maximum power of 74hp (55 kW) and 114Nm peak torque. The 29.2 kWh battery pack offers a driving range of 320km. In comparison, Tata Tiago EV is available in two battery pack options: 19.2 kWh and 24 kWh. The former offers a driving range of 250km while the latter offers 315km.

In other news, Citroen announced that it will begin exporting the C3 from India by the end of this month. The automaker signed an MoU with Kamarajar Port Ltd (KPL) in Tamil Nadu which will allow them to export the hatchback to ASEAN and African countries as a Completely Built Unit (CBU). Citroen manufactures the eC3 in the same plant.
