Honda Elevate: The much-awaited SUV from Honda

Honda Elevate gets a wide radiator grille and a muscular flat nose up front. The LED headlamps and DRLs flank either side of the grille and are connected by a chrome bar. There’s thick body cladding and character lines along the sides of the SUV. It also gets 17-inch alloy wheels. At the rear, the Elevate gets similar tail lamps as the international model of the WR-V. These tail lamps are connected by a light bar running across the bonnet.

Talking about dimensions, Honda Elevate is 4,312mm long, 1,790mm wide, and 1,650mm tall. It has a wheelbase of 2,650mm and a ground clearance of 220mm. The boot space capacity of the SUV is 458 litres. While Honda has not revealed the trims on offer, the Elevate is expected to have a similar lineup as the new City sedan.

Inside, Honda Elevate gets a 10.25-inch floating touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support. It also gets Honda’s connected car tech – Honda Connect. This infotainment system is accompanied by a 7-inch TFT instrument cluster. The Elevate also gets the Honda Sensing ADAS package with features like lane departure warning, road departure warning, lane keep assist, collision mitigation braking, and more.

Honda Elevate shares its powertrain with the 5th-gen Honda City. The 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine produces a maximum power output of 121hp and 145Nm of torque. Transmission options include a 6-speed manual or a CVT automatic gearbox. While the Elevate will not get any hybrid variants, it will be introduced in an all-electric avatar next year.
