AX5 and AX5 L variants of Mahindra XUV 3XO in high demand

Bookings for the Mahindra XUV 3XO were opened on May 15. Within the first hour of the opening of the booking window, Mahindra received over 50,000 orders for the SUV. The AX5 and AX5 L variants garnered the maximum interest from customers. These variants demand a waiting period of up to six months in some regions. Delivery rollout for the 3XO will commence tomorrow.

Mahindra XUV 3XO: An instant success

The Mahindra XUV 3XO is available in 9 variants – MX1, MX2, MX2 Pro, MX3, MX3 Pro, AX5, AX5 L, AX7, and AX7 L. The AX5 and AX5 L trims have received the most bookings out of all the variants. These two trims sit just below the top-spec AX7 and AX7 L variants. Here is the price list for all variants of the 3XO.

The AX5 variants of Mahindra XUV 3XO get features like dual-zone climate control, 16-inch diamond cut alloy wheels, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, another 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with connected car tech, electrically adjustable OVRMs, and more. The AX5 trim is priced between Rs 10.69 lakh – Rs 12.89 lakh.

The AX5 L trim costs Rs 11.99 lakh and is equipped with additional features like a Level 2 ADAS package, an electronic parking brake, a 360-degree camera, a cooled glove box, and more. The panoramic sunroof, which is a ‘first in class’ feature for the 3XO, is only available with the top-spec AX7 and AX7 L variants.

The Mahindra XUV 3XO is available in 3 engine options. The 1.2-litre 3-cylinder mStallion direct-injection turbo-petrol engine produces a maximum power output of 131hp and 230Nm torque. The 1.2-litre turbo petrol puts out 110hp. The 1.5-litre diesel engine generates a power output of 117hp. These engines can be mated to manual and AMT gearboxes. The AX5 variants are available with 1.5L turbo petrol and diesel engine options. Meanwhile, the AX5 L variant is only available with the 1.2L direct-injection turbo petrol engine paired with a manual gearbox.

Conclusion

Deliveries for the MX3, MX3 Pro, AX5, and AX5 L trims will start rolling out tomorrow. The entry-level and top-spec trims will start shipping to customers next month.  In India, the 3XO rivals the likes of the Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Hyundai Venue facelift, Kia Sonet, Tata Nexon, Renault Kiger, Toyota Urban Cruiser Taisor, Maruti Suzuki Fronx, and Nissan Magnite.
