The 2nd-gen Hyundai Venue has finally gone on sale in India. Its prices start at Rs 7.90 lakh for the entry-level HX2 variant and go up to Rs 15.51 lakh for the top-spec HX10 variant. There are a total of 10 trim levels on offer, including the N Line models. These trims are spread across 3 powertrains. Bookings for the SUV are currently open for a token amount of Rs 25,000.

There are 2 new paint shades on offer: Mystic Sapphire and Hazel Blue. The dual-tone paint schemes demand a premium of Rs 18,000.
The new Hyundai Venue stands at dimensions of 3,995mm x 1,800mm x 1,665mm with a 2,520mm wheelbase. It is 48mm taller and 30mm wider than the outgoing model. It features a bold front fascia with a new dark chrome radiator grille, quad beam LED headlamps, and twin horn LED DRLs. This design language is inspired by the new crop of Hyundai SUVs. Along the sides, the Venue rests on 16-inch alloy wheels and gets squared-off wheel arches. At the back, the tail lamps are connected by a sleek light bar. The front and rear bumpers of the SUV are muscular than before.
Inside, the new Venue flaunts dual 12.3-inch curved panoramic displays for the touchscreen infotainment system and the digital instrument cluster. There’s support for wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, along with Hyundai’s new Connected Car Navigation Cockpit (ccNC) system powered by NVIDIA. Other features include an 8-speaker Bose sound system, ventilated front seats, a voice-enabled smart electric sunroof, 2-step reclining rear seats, rear AC vents, ambient lighting, connected car tech, and more.
On the safety front, the Venue packs 6 airbags, 3-point seatbelts for all passengers with reminders, disc brakes on all 4 wheels, a Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), an Electro Chromic Mirror (ECM) with telematics switches, Electronic stability control (ESC), Hill-start Assist Control (HAC), Electric Parking Brake (EPB) with auto hold, a Surround View Monitor (SVM), a Blind Spot View Monitor (BVM), rollover sensor, and more. There is a Level 2 ADAS suite with 16 features on board.
The new Hyundai Venue comes in 3 engine options – Kappa 1.2-litre MPi petrol, Kappa 1.0-litre turbo GDi petrol, and U2 1.5-litre CRDi Diesel. The 1.2-litre petrol engine generates a maximum power output of 82hp at 6,000rpm and 114.7Nm torque at 4,200rpm. This engine can be paired with a 5-speed manual transmission. The 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine produces a maximum power output of 118hp at 6,000rpm and 172Nm of torque at 1,500-4,000rpm. This engine can be mated to a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed DCT transmission with Idle Stop and Go (ISG).

Final Thoughts
The N Line variants of the Venue have also been launched alongside the standard model. These variants feature red highlights inside and out, and get exclusive ‘N Line’ badging. The new Venue rivals the Kia Sonet, Tata Nexon, Mahindra XUV 3XO, Skoda Kylaq, Maruti Suzuki Fronx, and Maruti Suzuki Brezza.
