Hyundai has revealed the first look for the new Tucson facelift. The reveal comes right after spy shots of the SUV in its undisguised avatar emerged online. The facelifted Hyundai Tucson will be launched in India next year. It gets some design tweaks but remains mechanically unchanged. Expect it to demand a small premium over the outgoing model.

2023 Hyundai Tucson facelift: First reveal
The new Hyundai Tucson facelift gets a new design for the front grille which follows the automaker’s ‘Parametric Dynamics’ design philosophy. This grille is the most distinguishing part of the vehicle, which immediately sets it apart as a Hyundai SUV. This design can also be seen on the new Kona and Santa Fe. Apart from the grille, the LED DRLs have been slightly restyled but the headlamp design remains unchanged. Along the sides, the SUV gets a new design for the alloy wheels.
Inside, the Hyundai Tucson facelift gets a three-spoke design for the steering wheel and an integrated touchscreen infotainment system and digital instrument cluster. This integrated curved display is composed of two individual 12.3-inch units. Physical controls make a comeback on the new Tucson as the heater gets new dials. The centre control also sports a cleaner look, getting a wireless charging pad and two cup holders.
Things remain the same under the hood as the new Hyundai Tucson facelift retains its petrol and diesel powertrains. The 2.0-litre petrol engine produces a maximum power output of 154hp and 192Nm of torque. This petrol engine is mated to a six-speed automatic transmission. The 2.0-litre diesel engine produces a maximum power of 184hp and 416Nm torque. The diesel engine is mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission. It remains to be seen whether Hyundai will bring the 160hp-producing 1.5-litre petrol engine found on the Alcazar to Tucson as well.

Conclusion
As mentioned earlier, the Hyundai Tucson facelift will be launched in India in 2024. The current-gen Tucson was launched in India in August 2022 at a starting price of Rs 27.70 lakh. It is currently priced at Rs 29.02 lakh. There are 4 variants on offer. Only the top-spec diesel variant is offered with an All Wheel Drive. Hyundai Tucson rivals Skoda Kodiaq and Volkswagen Tiguan.
