Over 1,500 units of Mahindra XUV 3XO delivered on first day of rollout

Mahindra Auto delivered more than 1,500 units of the newly launched XUV 3XO on the first day of its delivery rollout. The automaker received over 50,000 bookings for the SUV within an hour of opening the booking window. The XUV 3XO is a facelifted version of the XUV300. Buyers face a booking period of up to six months on some variants of the SUV.

Mahindra XUV 3XO: Delivery rollout begins

To manage the high demand for the SUV, Mahindra had produced 10,000 units of the 3XO before its launch. The automaker will manufacture 9,000 units of the SUV every month. The AX5 and AX5 L variants are most popular among buyers. Here is what the 3XO’s price list looks like.

Mahindra XUV 3XO has a bold design, featuring edgy headlamps and DRLs, a segmented grille, and an upright nose. The SUV sits on dark chrome alloy wheels. The tail lamps mimic the design of the DRLs up front and are connected by a light bar.

The dashboard and cabin layout of the 3XO is similar to the XUV400. The SUV rocks a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, another 10.25-inch screen for the digital instrument cluster, a panoramic sunroof, a 7-speaker Harmon Kardon audio system, wireless charging, and more. One of the biggest highlights of the Mahindra XUV 3XO is its Level 2 ADAS package.

The SUV is available in 3 powertrain options – a 1.2L 3-cylinder mStallion direct-injection turbo-petrol, a 1.2L turbo petrol engine, and a 1.5L diesel engine. The petrol variants enjoy more popularity than their diesel counterparts. The 1.2L direct-injection turbo-petrol produces a maximum power output of 131hp and 230Nm torque. The 1.2L turbo petrol engine puts out 110hp. Finally, the diesel engine generates a maximum power output of 117hp. These engines can be mated to manual and AMT gearboxes.

Conclusion

The first phase of the delivery rollout is focused on the MX3, MX3 Pro, AX5, and AX5 L trims. The variants are in the highest demand. The automaker will begin shipping the MX1, MX2, MX2 Pro, AX7, and AX7 L variants to customers next month. Mahindra XUV 3XO rivals the likes of the Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Hyundai Venue facelift, Kia Sonet, Tata Nexon, Renault Kiger, Toyota Urban Cruiser Taisor, Maruti Suzuki Fronx, and Nissan Magnite in India.
