Skoda Kodiaq RS: Everything you need to know

The Kodiaq RS gets some design tweaks that make it look sportier than the rest of the lineup. The front grille is finished in gloss black. The bumper has been reworked for a bolder appeal. The exterior mirror covers, upper window frames, roof rails, and D pillars also rock the all-black look. The SUV rests on 20-inch alloy wheels. At the back, it gets dual exhaust tips and a larger roof spoiler. There’s exclusive ‘RS’ badging on the tailgate and grille.

The interior of the Kodiaq RS also gets the all-black treatment. The red stitching and highlights accentuate the colour theme. The steering has a 3-spoke wheel design. Since it sits at the top of the lineup, the RS model is decked with premium features. The powered front seats are equipped with ventilation, heating, massaging, memory, and thigh extension functions.

Other features include a free-standing 13-inch infotainment display, a 10-inch digital instrument cluster, a panoramic sunroof, a 3-zone climate control system, a 13-speaker Canton sound system, ambient lighting, and more. Safety features include 9 airbags, a 360-degree camera, and an ADAS package.

The big upgrade comes under the hood of the Skoda Kodiaq RS. It is powered by the 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine that is also found on the Octavia RS. However, the SUV produces an improved torque output of 400Nm. The maximum power output is 265hp, same as the Octavia RS. Transmission duties are handled by a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox that channels the power to all four wheels. The SUV can go from 0-100km/h in 6.3 seconds. Its top speed is capped at 231km/h.

The Dynamic Chassis Control (DCC) Plus offers 15 levels of damping adjustment, from comfort-oriented to sporty. It works in tandem with Driving Mode Select, allowing drivers to choose from Eco, Comfort, Normal, Sport, Individual, Snow, and Off-Road modes.
