Toyota Dream Car Art Contest: Here’s what you need to know

The Toyota Dream Car Art Contest is conducted at the national level across 90+ countries. The winners from each country advance to represent it at the global World contest. The national contest is divided into three age categories:

  • Category 1: 7 years and under
  • Category 2: 8–11 years
  • Category 3: 12–15 years

The participants have to submit their artwork under the theme “Your Dream Car”. The top 9 winners, 3 from each category, will receive certificates of participation and will advance to the global stage, where they will represent India. The global contest will be held after March 2026. Additionally, the top 18 finalists will be awarded digital certificates.

Here are some important guidelines to keep in mind:

  • Participants must record and document their participation. A video of the participant creating the artwork in different stages must be provided at the request of TKM.
  • Contestants need to save a hard copy of their entry.
  • The artwork must be created manually using sketch pens, colour pencils, paints, or crayons. Digital artworks will not be accepted.
  • The artwork must not violate any copyright or contain any trademarked characters.
  • The paper size should be 400mm x 550 mm (15.7-21.7in.) or smaller, with a thickness of 5mm or less. The recommended size is A3 or tabloid size. (A4, quarter, and octavo sizes are also acceptable.)

Mr Sabari Manohar, Executive Vice President, Sales-Service-Used Car Business, Toyota Kirloskar Motor, said, “The Toyota Dream Car Art Contest reflects our enduring belief that imagination is the inception point of innovation. This remarkable annual initiative celebrates the extraordinary ability of children to envision a better, smarter, and more sustainable future through their art. As we introduce the 19th edition, we look forward to witnessing the fresh ideas and boundless imagination of children across India, whose visions will contribute in defining the future of mobility.”
