Tata Tigor EV prices revealed in India: Everything you need to know

Tata launched its next electric vehicle i.e. Tigor EV last month. Even if we didn’t know the exact specifications and price there were some expected figures in the market. But today the company has finally unwrapped all the features along with the prices of the car. Here is everything we know about the Tata Tigor EV.

Specification

Tata Tigor EV is packed with a 26 kWh lithium-ion battery pack that produces 55kW of maximum power and 170 Nm of peak torque. Based on new Ziptron technology the car does 0-60 kmph in 5.7 seconds. It also has an extended ARAI certified range of 306 kms (under testing conditions).

Talking about the battery, it is an IP67 unit, which comes with 8 years and 1,60,000 Km of warranty along with the motor. Casing it is an Impact resistance AIS-048 standard nail penetration at the cell level. Tigor EV supports fast charging as well as 15 A house plug points to charge its battery. There is absolutely no change in the interior except the blue bezels around the AC vents.

Price

The Car was released in 4 variants which are the XE, XM, XZ+ and XZ+ dual-tone. The XE which is the base model of the car that starts from Rs 11,99,000 ex-showroom India. The medium specked XM variant is offered at Rs 12,49,000 ex-showroom and the top of the line Tigor EV is priced at a premium of Rs 12,99,000. Tata also offers a dual-tone colour scheme option that starts at Rs 13,14,000 ex-showroom. Consumers can book this car by paying the booking amount of Rs 21,000 at select dealers.

Safety

Tata is known to make one of the safest cars in the Indian market. During the NCAP testing, Tigor EV scored a 4 out of 5 stars rating with standard 2 airbags. Out of 17.00, the car scored 12.00 points for adults and 37.24 out of 49.00 for child occupant protection. The EV also complies with ODB 64 test standards.

Tata going all green with its EV segment is good news for customers as we can be assured that there will be new offerings from Tata as well as its competitors. With the future being all-electric, it was a strong move by the company to expand its EVs range after the success of Nexon. The car will be offered in 2 colour options the signature teal and Daytona grey.
