Maruti Suzuki Baleno facelift: The mileage numbers you’ve been waiting for
Here are the mileage specs for all the powertrains of the Baleno facelift compared with their outgoing counterparts.
| Variant | 2026 facelift | Outgoing model |
| Petrol MT | 23.80km/l | 22.35km/l |
| Petrol AMT | 24.77km/l | 22.94km/l |
| CNG MT | 33.61km/kg | 30.61km/ |
The Maruti Suzuki Baleno facelift is powered by the 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder Z12E naturally aspirated petrol engine. This engine also does duty on the Swift and the Dzire. It generates a maximum power output of 83hp and 112Nm of torque. It can be mated to a 5-speed manual or AMT gearbox. The former offers a mileage of 23.80km/l while the latter has a fuel economy of 24.77km/l. The CNG powertrain based on this engine puts out 70hp and 102Nm while offering a mileage of 33.61km/kg.
Exterior updates on the 2026 Baleno facelift include a larger grille, which now makes space for the ADAS radar. The Suzuki logo is positioned above the grille. The bumper and fog lamps have also been redesigned. The front fenders get a chrome garnish. The headlamps, DRLs, 16-inch alloy wheels, and tail lamps have been retained from the outgoing model.
The interior setup of the facelift looks similar to its outgoing counterpart. The dashboard houses a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity. Instead of a digital instrument cluster, the 2026 Baleno carries on with a MID for the driver’s cockpit. In terms of feature additions, the facelift gets a cooled wireless charging section, a Clarion sound system, and ventilated front seats. The big omissions are a panoramic sunroof and a rear centre armrest.
The biggest highlight of the Baleno facelift comes on the safety front. The hatchback offers a Level 2 ADAS package, which is unheard of in this price bracket. The suite comprises features like Advanced Emergency Braking (AEB), Lane Keep Assist, Lane Departure Prevention, Lane Departure Warning, Adaptive Cruise Control, High Beam Assist (HBA), Vehicle Sway Warning and Forward Collision Warning. Other safety features include 6 airbags, Electronic Stability Program, ABS with EBD, Emergency Stop Signal, Hill Hold Control, Reverse Parking Sensors, 3-Point Seat Belts, Seat Belt Reminders, and TPMS.
