After breaking cover in January, the Skoda Kushaq facelift has finally launched in India at a starting price of Rs 10.69 lakh. The new model gets cosmetic tweaks, feature upgrades, and an automatic gearbox for the 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine. The midsize SUV comes in 5 trim levels – Classic+, Signature, Sportline, Prestige, and Monte Carlo. The top-spec variant is priced at Rs 18.99 lakh.

The Kushaq facelift incorporates Skoda’s ‘Modern Solid’ design language in its front fascia. The sleek LED headlamps are integrated with eyebrow LED DRLs. The vertical chrome slats on the grille give it a bold look. A segmented light bar runs through the grille, connecting the L-shaped lighting elements of the DRLs. The bumper has been updated with a new skid plate. The Monte Carlo variant has a glossy grille with 2 red slats. It also gets exclusive badging.
The Skoda Kushaq facelift rests on 17-inch alloy wheels. Lower variants are equipped with 16-inch alloys. The profile of the facelift model is identical to the outgoing model. At the back, the LED tail lamps are connected by a light bar with ‘SKODA’ lettering. This light bar runs across the width of the SUV. Skoda has added 3 new colour options for the Kushaq – Shimla Green, Steel Grey, and Cherry Red. The Candy White, Carbon Steel, Brilliant Silver, Lava Blue, and Deep Black paint schemes have been carried forward from the outgoing model.
Inside, the new Skoda Kushaq features a black and beige colour theme. The Monte Carlo model gets a special crimson theme for its interior. The SUV packs a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a 10.25-inch digital driver’s display. There’s support for wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The voice assistant supports Google Gemini. Other features include dual-colour ambient lighting, rear-seat massage function, a panoramic sunroof, automatic AC, auto-dimming IRVMs, a 6-speaker audio system, wireless charging, rain-sensing wipers, a rear wiper, rear defoggers, and more.
The 5-star Global NCAP safety rating awarded to the outgoing model is valid for the Skoda Kushaq facelift as well. The midsize SUV gets safety features like 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, traction control, rain-sensing wipers, hill hold assist, ISOFIX anchorages, and more as standard across all variants. The higher variants have over 40 safety features.
The Kushaq continues to be offered in 2 engine options. The 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine generates a maximum power output of 115hp and 175Nm of torque. It can be mated to a 6-speed manual or an 8-speed torque converter automatic gearbox. The former delivers a fuel efficiency of 19.66 km/l, while the latter returns 19.09 km/l. The SUV also comes with a 150hp, 250Nm producing 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine option. This engine comes with a sole 7-speed DCT gearbox. The mileage offered by this powertrain is 18.72 km/l.

The booking window for the Kushaq facelift has been open since its unveiling in India. It rivals the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Toyota Urban Cruiser HyRyder, Kia Seltos, Hyundai Creta, Honda Elevate, and Volkswagen Taigun in India.
