The Sierra SUV stands at dimensions of 4,340mm x 1,841mm x 1,715mm and has a 2,730mm wheelbase. It takes design inspiration from its iconic ‘91 namesake, more specifically in its profile. While the rear glass section does not physically wrap around the corners due to modern safety standards, Tata has achieved the desired effect by using black shades. The panoramic sunroof and flush door handles bring a dash of modernity to the SUV’s profile. Up front, it features vertically stacked sharp LED headlamps and ‘Light Saber’ LED DRLs. At the back, the LED tail lamps are connected by a sleek light bar.
The Accomplished and Accomplished+ trims are packed with premium features. They come with a triple-screen setup on the dashboard – comprising a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster for the driver, a 12.3-inch central touchscreen infotainment system, and another 12.3-inch display for the passenger. Other features include a Head Up Display, a 12-speaker JBL sound system with Dolby Atmos, a 6-way powered driver’s seat with memory function, ventilated front seats, ambient lighting, birthday celebration mode, relax mode, and more. The Level 2 ADAS package on the two variants consists of 22 key features.
The Tata Sierra comes in 3 engine options. The 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder, naturally aspirated ‘Revotron’ petrol engine is available with the Accomplished trim, but not Accomplished+. It produces a maximum power output of 105hp and 145Nm of torque. The engine can be mated to a 6-speed manual or 7-speed dual clutch automatic transmission.
Tata’s new 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder, TGDI ‘Hyperion’ petrol engine generates a maximum power output of 158hp and 255Nm of torque. It is mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission. Lastly, the 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder, ‘Kryojet’ diesel engine generates a maximum power output of 116hp. With a 6-speed manual transmission, it produces 260Nm torque. This output increases to 280Nm when the engine is linked to a 6-speed automatic gearbox. This engine is available on all 7 trims.
