Skoda India will refresh its midsize sedan with a facelift model next year. The 2026 Skoda Slavia was recently spotted on a road test in Pune, Maharashtra. The test mule was partially camouflaged, with its front and rear sections draped under cover. The facelifted model will carry a slew of cosmetic, design, and feature upgrades. No changes are expected under the hood.

2026 Skoda Slavia: What do the spy shots suggest?
The recently surfaced spy shots of the upcoming Skoda Slavia facelift hint towards a refreshed front fascia. The cutouts suggest a new design for the LED headlamps and DRLs. The grille section looks identical to the current model. The lower section of the grille has a piano black finish. There are no changes along the sides, apart from a new alloy wheel design. There was no exterior covering blocking the view of the profile on the recently spotted test mule. The door handles are in their conventional spots, and the B-pillar is blacked out. This confirms that the Slavia facelift will not carry flush-sitting door handles. At the back, the LED tail lamps are expected to follow the design language of the DRLs up front.
The spy shots do not reveal any details about the interior of the Skoda Slavia facelift. The midsize sedan could get a new layout for the dashboard along with premium trims. The automaker could also offer a new colour theme for the cabin and upholstery. There will be instrumentation updates to look forward to as well. The touchscreen infotainment system on the facelift will have a larger size than the one on the current model. The biggest feature upgrade will undoubtedly be a Level 2 ADAS package. The current model sports features like a powered sunroof, an 8-speaker audio system with a 380W output, OVRMs, an 8-inch digital instrument cluster, ventilated front seating, and more.
No changes are expected under the hood. The Skoda Slavia facelift will retain the 2 engine options that come with the current model. The 1.0-litre three-cylinder turbo petrol engine produces a maximum power of 115hp and 175Nm peak torque. The 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine produces a maximum power output of 150hp and 250Nm peak torque. Transmission options include a six-speed manual and a 7-speed DCT automatic gearbox.

Final Thoughts
The Volkswagen sibling of Slavia, Virtus, will also be refreshed with a facelift model next year. Prices for the current model of Slavia start at Rs 10 lakh and go up to Rs 17.70 lakh. The facelift will demand a small premium. Upon launch, it will rival the likes of the  Hyundai Verna, Volkswagen Virtus, Maruti Suzuki Ciaz, and Honda City in India.Â
