Tata Harrier EV: What to expect?

The Tata Harrier EV mimics the design of its ICE sibling. Its LED headlamps are vertically aligned and placed on the bumper. The LED DRLs flank either side of the shut-off grille and are connected by a sleek light bar. Along the sides, the EV’s wheel arches are muscular, and its D-pillar is blacked out. At the back, the LED tail lamps are connected by a slim light bar.

Not much is known about the Tata Harrier EV’s interior yet. The automaker dropped a teaser for the cabin in March, and more teaser snapshots are expected leading up to the launch. So far, it is confirmed that the Harrier EV will get a dual-tone colour theme for the dashboard. The HVAC will have touch controls. The four-spoke steering wheel will be identical to the ones on the new crop of Tata SUVs. Other features will include a free-floating touchscreen infotainment system, a digital instrument cluster, a rotary dial, a panoramic sunroof, and more.

The Tata Harrier EV will be underpinned by the automaker’s Acti.ev (Gen 2) platform. It will be the first EV from Tata to rock an All Wheel Drive. Tata chooses to call it the ‘Quad Wheel Drive’. With an electric motor on each axle, the Harrier EV will boast a torque output of 500Nm. While more mechanical specs are awaited, we expect the electric SUV to carry a large battery pack (>60kWh). It will offer a driving range of 500km.
