Mahindra XUV700 facelift spied again, interior revealed

New spy shots of the upcoming Mahindra XUV700 facelift give a sneak peek into its interior. The SUV is expected to launch in early 2026, most likely with the ‘XUV7XO’ nameplate. Multiple test mules of the facelifted model have been spotted on road tests since August 2025. All of the mules have been heavily draped in camouflage so far. We expect Mahindra to begin the promotional campaign for the SUV in late December.

Mahindra XUV700 facelift: Here’s what the spy shots reveal about the interior

The new spy shots of the XUV700 facelift give a glimpse of its two-spoke steering wheel. This steering wheel is wrapped in a dual-tone black and beige leatherette material. The illuminated Twin Peaks logo is studded at the centre. The brown leatherette wrapping extends to the soft-touch dashboard and seating. The central AC vents have chrome highlights.

The spy shots confirm the rumours of the XEV 9e‘s triple-screen setup on the XUV700 facelift. This setup consists of three 12.3-inch screens. These displays cater to the touchscreen infotainment system, digital instrument cluster, and the front passenger’s entertainment unit. Mahidnra could supplement the rear seats with individual entertainment screens as well. There will be 6 and 7-seat layouts on offer. The facelifted model will also get a 6-speaker Harmon Kardon audio system with Dolby Atmos, auto-dimming IVRMs, automatic climate control, wireless charging, connected car tech, and a Level 2 ADAS package.

Several cosmetic changes are expected on the 2026 XUV700. Its front fascia will feature a new design for the LED headlamps and DRLs. The automaker could go for a split headlamp arrangement. The grille will be wider than the current model. The overall look will be more muscular and sculpted. No changes will be made to the profile, but the alloy wheels could rock a new design. The tail lamps at the back will mimic the style of the DRLs up front.

Things will remain the same under the hood of the XUV700 facelift. The current model comes in 2 engine options. The 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine produces a maximum power output of 200hp and 380Nm of torque. The 2.2-litre turbo diesel engine is available in two tune levels. The entry-level variants put out 155hp and 360Nm of torque, while the top-spec variants generate 185hp and 420Nm. The torque output jumps to 450Nm on the automatic variants. Both engines can be paired with a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic gearbox.

Final Thoughts

Prices for the current-gen XUV700 start at Rs 13.66 lakh and go up to Rs 25.14 lakh. It remains one of the most premium and decked-out SUVs in its category. The facelifted model will rival the Tata Safari, Jeep Compass, Hyundai Creta, Skoda Kushaq, MG Hector, Hector Plus, and Kia Seltos.
