The CNG model of the Mahindra XUV 3XO does not get any cosmetic updates other than the ‘ZNG’ badging on the tailgate. It retains the dimensions and design language of the standard model. The interior layout remains unchanged as well. Its feature list is dependent on the variant. Other features include a panoramic sunroof, leatherette seating, and more. The CNG model uses a dual-tank setup with a combined fuel capacity of 270 litres.

The XUV 3XO CNG is based on the 1.2-litre MPFI (multi-point fuel injection) turbo-petrol engine. The SUV also comes with a 1.2-litre 3-cylinder mStallion direct-injection turbo-petrol engine option, which produces a maximum power output of 131hp and 230Nm of torque. The 1.5-litre diesel engine churns out 117hp and 300Nm. The all-electric XUV 3XOis powered by a front-mounted electric motor which generates a maximum power output of 150hp and 310Nm of torque. The 39.4kWh battery can go up to 285km on a single full charge. A 50kW DC fast charger takes up to 50 minutes to charge the SUV from 0 to 80%. There are 3 drive modes on offer – Fun, Fast and Fearless.

Dr Velusamy R, President, Automotive Business, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd., said, “The XUV 3XO ZNG comes with a clear promise: Zero Compromise. Customers today want the space, technology, safety and driving experience of an SUV, along with the lower running costs of CNG. With category-leading torque, turbocharged performance and impressive efficiency, the XUV 3XO ZNG brings together the practicality of CNG and the excitement of an SUV, setting a new benchmark for customer expectations from a CNG SUV.”
