The SUV also comes in Longitude, Limited, and Model-S trims, along with Track, Trail, and 85th Anniversary special editions. The Sport AT is the most affordable automatic powertrain in the Compass lineup. Jeep is also offering an accessory pack for a premium of Rs 29,900.

Jeep Compass Sport AT: What’s on offer?

The optional accessory pack offered with the Compass Sport adds ‘Swoosh’ decals to the SUV’s shoulder line and rear pillars. It also comes with mud flaps for the wheels and all-weather mats for the cabin floor. No other cosmetic changes have been made to the SUV. The entry-level variant continues with its 17-inch silver alloy wheels, blacked-out ORVMs with integrated turn indicators, and a bold front fascia.

Inside, the Jeep Compass Sport gets a dark colour theme. The dashboard has a grey fabric finish. The upholstery comes with blue stitching. The optional accessory pack brings a couple of upgrades in the form of ambient lighting and a dashcam. The Sport variant retains its 8.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system and 3.5-inch digital instrument cluster. There is wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity on board. Audio duties are handled by a 4-speaker sound system.

On the safety front, the Jeep Compass Sport packs 6 airbags, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Traction Control (TC), Hill Start Assist (HSA), a Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), an Electronic Parking Brake (EPB), cruise control, auto hold, ISOFIX anchorages, a reversing camera, rear parking sensors, and more. There is an ADAS package on board as well.

Under the hood, the Compass is powered by a 2-litre turbo diesel engine. It generates a maximum power output of 170hp and 350Nm of torque. Previously, the Sport variant was only available with a 6-speed manual transmission. The 9-speed automatic transmission has now been thrown into the mix as well. You also get Frequency Selective Damping (FSD) suspension on the Sport variant. While the higher variants are available with an All Wheel Drive (AWD) configuration, the entry-level model channels power to the two front wheels only.
