Hyundai Grand i10 Nios Hy-CNG Duo launched in India at Rs 7.75 lakh

Last month, Hyundai Motor India launched the Exter CNG with a split-cylinder setup. The automaker has now launched Grand i10 Nios with the same setup. Prices for the Hyundai Grand i10 Nios Hy-CNG Duo start at Rs 7.75 lakh, demanding a premium of Rs 7,000 over the single-cylinder variant. The factory-fitted CNG system comes with 3 years of warranty.

Hyundai Grand i10 Nios Hy-CNG Duo: What’s on offer

The Hyundai Grand i10 Nios Hy-CNG Duo is available in two mid-spec variants – Magna and Sportz. Here is its price list.

The 1.2-litre four-cylinder engine powering the Hyundai Grand i10 Nios CNG produces a maximum power output of 69hp and 95Nm of torque. This engine can only be paired with a 5-speed manual transmission. Meanwhile, in a petrol configuration, this engine generates a maximum power output of 83hp and 114Nm of torque. The petrol engine can also be mated to a 5-speed AMT gearbox.

The split-cylinder setup increases the boot space capacity of the Grand i10 Nios CNG. It has a 60-litre tank capacity. The hatchback is equipped with features like an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, footwell lighting, Rear AC Vents, Tilt steering and much more. Safety features include 6 airbags as standard, TPMS Highline, Rear Parking Camera, Day & Night IRVM, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Hill-Start Assist Control (HAC) and much more.

The Hyundai Grand i10 Nios is the second CNG offering from Hyundai to get a split-cylinder CNG setup. Expect other CNG offerings from the automaker to switch to this setup in the coming months. The single-cylinder Grand i10 Nios will be sold alongside the Hy-CNG Duo version. The hatchback rivals the Tata Tiago CNG, Maruti Suzuki Wagon R CNG, and Maruti Suzuki Celerio CNG.
