Honda Activa 110 updated with a new TFT display

Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) has updated the Activa 110 with a new TFT display on the dash. As a result, Honda Activa 110 is now priced at Rs 80,950. The new 4.2-inch display is the same as the one found on the Activa 125. Honda has also updated the engine of the Activa 110 to meet the OBD2B-compliant norms that came into effect last year. The company showcased the Activa e: scooter at the Bharat Global Mobility Expo last week.

Honda Activa 110: What’s new?

The new 4.2-inch TFT colour panel on the Honda Activa 110’s dashboard can display several metrics. These include a trip indicator, mileage, eco-indicator, and distance to empty. The scooter has also been equipped with a USB Type-C port to charge your device when you’re on the move.

There are no mechanical changes on the Honda Activa 110, but the 109.51cc single-cylinder petrol engine is now OBD2B-compliant. This engine produces a maximum power output of 7.8hp and 9.03Nm torque. The scooter has also been updated with an Idling Stop System. Meanwhile, Honda Activa 125 derives its power from a 124cc air-cooled engine that produces a maximum power output of 8.19hp and 10.4Nm of torque.

In other news, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India launched the highly anticipated all-electric Activa at the Bharat Mobility Expo last week. Honda Activa e: is available in 2 variants – Standard (Rs 1.17 lakh) and RoadSync Duo (Rs 1.52 lakh). The electric scooter derives charge from 1.5kWh batteries placed under the seat. These batteries are swappable and can be recharged at Honda Power Pack Exchanger e: swapping stations. Honda claims a driving range of 102km on the electric scooter.

The electric motor is mounted on the swingarm of Activa e:. It produces a maximum power output of 8.04hp (6kW) and 22Nm torque. The electric scooter can go from 0-60kmph in 7.3 seconds. Its top speed is capped at 80kmph. Honda will also add the option of Battery-as-a-Service for the all-electric Activa.

Honda Activa 110 is available in 6 colour options – Pearl Black, Metallic Red, Pearl White, Matte Grey, Metallic Blue, and Pearl Blue. The scooter is now pricier by Rs 2,266. It is available in 3 variants – STD, DLX, and H-Smart. The launch of Honda Activa e: makes Activa the most versatile scooter in India. Initially, the electric scooter will be launched in Bangalore, Delhi, and Mumbai. It will rival the likes of TVS iQube, Ola S1, River Indie, and Ather Rizta.
