Volvo XC90 facelift launched in India at Rs 1.03 crore

Volvo has launched the updated version of the XC90 SUV in India at Rs 1.03 crore. The Volvo XC90 facelift is available in a single variant. It made its global debut in September 2024. The facelifted model gets crucial cosmetic and feature updates. The automaker has ditched the diesel powertrain on the facelift. The new model demands a premium of Rs 2 lakh over the outgoing version.

Volvo XC90 facelift: What’s on offer?

The new Volvo XC90 facelift stands at dimensions of 4,953mm x 1,931mm x 1,773mm and has a 2,984mm wheelbase. The design of the SUV has been updated to showcase a more contemporary look. The front grille has been tweaked slightly, as it now rocks diagonal slats. The ‘Thor Hammer’ LED DRLs are now slimmer. The bumpers have also been refreshed. Along the sides, the SUV gets new alloy wheel options.

Inside, the 2025 Volvo XC90 flaunts an 11.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system. This display is aligned vertically and supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The vertical AC vents are positioned on either side of the display. The upholstery is made out of recycled materials. Other features include a 360-degree camera, a Head-Up Display, memory seating, an air purifier, a Bowers & Wilkins high-fidelity audio system, ambient lighting, and wireless charging.

Powering the Volvo XC90 facelift is the 2.0-litre turbo-petrol mild-hybrid engine from the outgoing model. This engine generates a maximum power output of 250hp and 360Nm of torque. It is linked to an 8-speed automatic transmission. The SUV is available with an All Wheel Drive configuration. It can accelerate from 0-100kmph in 7.7 seconds.

Conclusion

Volvo has added a new colour option to the XC90’s lineup – Mulberry Red. Other colour options include Crytal White, Onyx Black, Denim Blue, Vapor Grey, and Bright Dusk. The luxury SUV rivals Audi Q7, BMW X7, Land Rover Discovery, Mercedes Benz GLS, and Lexus Ux 350h in India.
