Toyota Rumion: Everything you need to know

Here’s what the price list for Toyota Rumion looks like. The middle variant does not get the option for an automatic transmission and the CNG powertrain is only available on the entry-level S variant.

Variant Price
S Rs 10.29 lakh
S AT Rs 11.89 lakh
G Rs 11.45 lakh
V Rs 12.18 lakh
V AT Rs 13.68 lakh
S CNG Rs 11.24 lakh

There are very few cosmetic differences between the Toyota Rumion and the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga. Toyota’s MPV gets a grille that looks similar to the one on the Toyota Innova Crysta. The fog lamp housing on the Rumion is of a different shape. The alloy wheels on the Rumion are different too. Other than that, the Rumion looks the same as Ertiga.

Inside, the Toyota Rumion retains the black and beige dual-tone colour scheme from its Maruti Suzuki counterpart. It also gets a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support, connected car tech, a digital MID and an analogue instrument cluster, an automatic AC unit, four airbags, and ESC. The MPV can house 7 people, with no other seating configurations on offer.

Under the hood, the Toyota Rumion is powered by the same 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine that powers the Ertiga. This engine can produce a maximum power output of 103hp and 137Nm of torque. It can be paired with a 5-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter gearbox. The Rumion CNG generates a maximum power output of 88hp and 121.5Nm of torque. It has a fuel efficiency of 26.11 km/kg. The petrol variant offers a mileage of 20.51 km/l.

Conclusion

Buyers can book the Toyota Rumion for a token amount of Rs 11,000. The MPV is available with a standard warranty of 3 years/1,00,000km (whichever comes first) which can be further extended to 5 years/2,20,000km. The Rumion rivals Maruti Suzuki Eritga, Maruti Suzuki XL6, and Kia Carens.
