Tata Tiago EV and Tigor EV get year-end discounts of up to Rs 1.10 lakh

Earlier this week, Tata Motors announced year-end discounts for their flagship EV, Nexon. These offers have now been extended to the Tiago and Tigor EVs. With up to Rs 1.10 lakh worth of offers up for grabs, Tata is looking to bump up the sales of the unsold MY2023 units of the two EVs. These discounts will expire on December 31.

Tata Tiago EV

Maximum Discount: Rs 77,000

Tata Tiago EV is the most affordable all-electric car in India right now. The electric hatchback gets discounts worth up to Rs 77,000 for the month of December. This includes exchange benefits worth up to Rs 15,000, a Green Bonus worth Rs 55,000, and corporate bonuses up to Rs 7,000. The electric hatchback is currently priced between Rs 8.69 lakh – Rs 12.04 lakh.

Tata Tiago EV is available in two battery pack options: 19.2kWh and 24kWh. The former has a driving range of 250km, while the latter can power the EV up to 315km. The Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor on the Tata Tiago EV delivers a peak power output of 55kW and an instant torque of 114Nm. The electric hatchback can accelerate from 0-60kmph in 5.7 seconds. There are also two driving modes on offer – City mode and Sport mode – with four levels of regen settings in each mode. 

Tata Tigor EV

Maximum Discount: Rs 1.10 lakh

 

 

The Tigor electric hatchback gets the maximum discounts out of the two EVs, with the total package amount coming out to Rs 1.10 lakh. This includes a cash offer of Rs 50,000, exchange benefits worth up to Rs 50,000, and corporate bonuses of up to Rs 10,000. Prices for the Tigor EV start at Rs 12.49 lakh and go up to Rs 13.75 lakh.

The electric hatchback boasts a driving range of 315km. It is equipped with an IP67-rated, 26 kWh battery pack. This battery pack can be charged from 0 to 80 percent in just 60 minutes with a fast charger. The electric motor on the EV produces a peak power output of 75hp (55kW) and 170Nm of torque. The EV can go from 0-60kmph in 5.7 seconds.

Conclusion

As mentioned earlier, these discounts are available only on the unsold MY2023 units of the two EVs. The value of the discount package may vary among dealerships and is subject to the availability of stock. Tata currently has the most diverse and affordable electric vehicle portfolio out of all the automakers in the country.
