New ‘G AT’ variant added to Toyota Rumion’s lineup in India

Toyota Kirloskar Motor has added a new ‘G AT’ variant to the Rumion MPV’s lineup in India. Previously, the G variant was only available in a manual transmission. The new Toyota Rumion G AT is priced at Rs 13 lakh. It can be booked for a token amount of Rs 11,000. Deliveries for the new variant will commence on May 5. The automaker has also opened bookings for the E-CNG variant.

Toyota Rumion G AT: What’s on offer?

The automatic G variant costs Rs 1.40 lakh than the manual variant. The entry-level S variant is also available in manual and automatic transmissions. The former costs Rs 10.44 lakh while the latter fetches Rs 11.90 lakh. Meanwhile, the manual and automatic variants of the top-spec V trim cost Rs 12.33 lakh and Rs 13.73 lakh respectively. The CNG powertrain is available only for the entry-level S trim and costs Rs 11.39 lakh.

The G AT variant of the Toyota Rumion gets mid-level features like the 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, automatic climate control, Toyota i-Connect, keyless entry, dual-tone upholstery, and more. Safety features on the MPV include dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, Hill Hold, Electronic Stability Program (ESP) and more.

Under the hood, the Toyota Rumion is powered by the same 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine that powers the Ertiga. This engine can produce a maximum power output of 103hp and 137Nm of torque. It can be paired with a 5-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter gearbox. The Rumion CNG generates a maximum power output of 88hp and 121.5Nm of torque. It has a fuel efficiency of 26.11 km/kg. The petrol variant offers a mileage of 20.51 km/l.

Conclusion

Toyota Rumion is available with a standard warranty of 3 years/1,00,000km (whichever comes first) which can be further extended to 5 years/2,20,000km at a nominal cost. It rivals the Maruti Suzuki Eritga, Maruti Suzuki XL6, and Kia Carens in India.
