MY2023 units of Tata Nexon EV and Tiago EV get discounts of up to Rs 75,000

Tata Motors is offering discounts of up to Rs 75,000 on two of its all-electric offerings – Nexon EV and Tiago EV. The MY2023 units of these electric cars receive a higher discount package. Some benefits can be availed on the MY2024 stock as well. These discounts come in the form of cash offers, exchange bonuses, corporate benefits, and special ‘green’ bonuses.

Tata Nexon EV

Maximum Discount: Rs 75,000

MY2023 units of the Tata Nexon EV are available with discounts of up to Rs 75,000. This includes cash offers worth up to Rs 50,000, Rs 20,000 off in exchange bonuses, and corporate benefits of up to Rs 5,000. The MY2024 Tata Nexon EV is available with discounts of up to Rs 55,000. These discounts are applicable on the Empowered + LR and Empowered + LR Dark variants only.

The MR battery variant of the Tata Nexon EV gets a 30kWh battery pack that offers a driving range of 325km. Meanwhile, the 40.5kWh battery pack on the LR variant can go up to 465km on a full charge. This is an improvement of 12km for both variants compared to their pre-facelift versions. Talking about the power specs, the Nexon EV MR puts out 129hp and 215Nm, while the LR variants produce 145hp and 215Nm.

Tata Tiago EV

Maximum Discount: Rs 72,000

MY2023 units of the Tiago EV get a green bonus worth Rs 50,000, an exchange bonus of Rs 15,000, and corporate benefits worth Rs 7,000. The MY2024 units of the EV get discounts worth up to Rs 52,000 for the long-range variants and Rs 37,000 for the mid-range variants. The Tiago EV is the most affordable electric car in India right now with prices starting at Rs 7.99 lakh.

The EV is available in two battery pack options: 19.2kWh and 24kWh. The former has a driving range of 250km, while the latter can power the EV up to 315km. The Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor on the Tata Tiago EV delivers a peak power output of 55kW and an instant torque of 114Nm. The electric hatchback can accelerate from 0-60kmph in 5.7 seconds. There are also two driving modes on offer – City mode and Sport mode – with four levels of regen settings in each mode.

Conclusion

These discounts will expire at the end of the month. The value of the discount package may vary among dealerships and is subject to the availability of stock.  Tata currently has the most diverse and affordable electric vehicle portfolio out of all the automakers in the country.
