Mini Countryman JCW: What to expect?

The John Cooper Works (JCW) version of the Countryman SUV is sportier than the standard model. The grille gets the automaker’s signature chequered-flag pattern and an all-black finish. The front bumper has air vents with red highlights on either side. The profile of the SUV retains the boxy look, but gets a sportier design for the alloy wheels. The brake callipers have red accents. The JCW logo can be found on the C pillar. At the back, the SUV gets quad exhaust tips and a dual-tone bumper.

Inside, the Countryman JCW retains the layout of the standard model. It gets red accents on the dashboard along with ambient lighting. The upholstery has red stitching to set it apart from the rest of the lineup. The pedals are sportier too. The infotainment system will rock custom JCW graphics on its interface.

The Countryman JCW will be powered by a 2.0-litre 4-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine. This engine generates a maximum power output of 300hp and 400Nm of torque. It is mated to a 7-speed DCT gearbox. The SUV comes with an All Wheel Drive (AWD) configuration as standard. Meanwhile, the standard Countryman model is powered by a 2.0-litre petrol engine that produces a maximum power output of 218hp.

Final Thoughts
