The MG Majestor stands at dimensions of 5,046mm x 2,016mm x 1,876mm, and has a 2,950mm wheelbase. Its bold front fascia features a ‘Mosiac Matrix’ grille design. The ‘Dragon Eye’ LED DRLs are positioned on either side of the grille. The vertically-aligned LED headlamps, along with the dual and side projectors, make up the ‘Tri Beam’ setup. The profile of the SUV is muscular and intimidating. It flaunts thick body cladding, a prominent shoulder line, side steps, and 19-inch dual-tone alloy wheels. At the back, the LED tail lamps are connected by a light bar. The ‘MAJESTOR’ lettering is studded on the tailgate.
The Majestor comes in 6-seat and 7-seat layouts. The 6-seat layout is only available on the Savvy 4×2 variant. This variant ditches the bench seat on the middle row for individual captain seats. When the third-row seats are collapsed, the boot space capacity of the SUV goes from 343 litres to 1,350 litres. The seats are draped in imitation leather upholstery. The cabin has a ‘Smoked Ebony’ colour theme.
The dashboard of the Majestor rocks twin 12.3-inch screens for the touchscreen infotainment system and digital driver’s display. There’s support for wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Other features include a 12-way powered front seat with memory function, a 12-speaker JBL sound system, a tri-zone automatic climate control system, AC vents for the third row, ambient lighting, a 220V power outlet, wireless charging, and more.
On the safety front, the MG Majestor gets 6 airbags (front, side, and curtain), Electronic Stability Program (ESP), Traction Control System (TCS), Roll Movement Intervention (RMI), Hill Hold Control (HHC), Hill Assist Control (HAC), ABD with EBD, Brake Assist, TPMS, and more features. There’s a Level 2 package on board with features like Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Forward Collision Warning (FCW), Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB), Lane Departure Warning (LDW), Blind Spot Detection (BSD), Lane Change/Keep Assist (LCA, LKA), and more.
Powering the MG Majestor is a 2.0-litre twin-turbo diesel engine. This is the same engine that powers the top-spec variants of the Gloster SUV. It generates a maximum power output of 289hp and 478Nm torque. It is mated to an 8-speed torque-converter automatic gearbox. The fuel tank has a 75L capacity. The SUV comes in 4×2 and 4×2 drive configurations.
