Renault Duster broke cover in January and went on sale in March. The midsize SUV comes in 3 engine options – a 1.3-litre turbo petrol engine, a 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine, and a 1.8-litre strong hybrid engine that’s set to launch in the festive season. Soon after launch, Renault revealed the fuel economy of the 1.3-litre petrol engine. Now, it has revealed the official mileage of the 1.0-litre petrol engine.

The 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine generates a maximum power output of 100hp and 160Nm of torque. It is mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox, with no automatic transmission options on offer. Renault claims a mileage of 19.4km/l on this engine.
Meanwhile, the 1.3-litre turbo petrol produces a maximum power output of 163hp and 280Nm of torque. It can be mated to a 6-speed manual or DCT gearbox. The manual variants of this powertrain have an ARAI-tested mileage of 17.75km/l. Meanwhile, the automatic variants offer 18.45km/l. The 1.8-litre e-tech strong hybrid engine will join the lineup this Diwali. It will be linked to a 1.4kWh battery pack.
Inside, the Renault Duster packs a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster. There’s support for wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Other features include dual-zone climate control, a 6-speaker Arkamys sound system, a panoramic sunroof, an air purifier, wireless charging, ventilated front seats, and more.
When it comes to safety, the midsize SUV packs 6 airbags, a Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), an Electronic Parking Brake (EPB), front and rear parking sensors, a 360-degree camera, and more. The Level 2 ADAS suite comprises 17 functions, including Adaptive Cruise Control, Active Emergency Braking, Lane Keep Assist, Blind Spot Warning, Traffic Sign Recognition, and more.

Prices for the Renault Duster start at Rs 10.49 lakh and go up to Rs 18.69 lakh. The strong-hybrid variant will sit at the top of the lineup. Its prices will be revealed upon its launch in October. The Duster rivals the Tata Sierra, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Toyota Urban Cruiser HyRyder, Kia Seltos, Volkswagen Taigun, Hyundai Creta, Skoda Kushaq, and Honda Elevate in India.
