The MG Majestor is 5,046mm long, 2,016mm wide, and 1,876mm tall. It has a 2,950mm wheelbase. Its front fascia features a ‘Mosiac Matrix’ grille design and ‘Dragon Eye’ LED DRLs, which give it a bold and fierce look. The LED headlamps are stacked vertically on either side of the grille. The dual side projectors complete the ‘Tri Beam’ setup. Along the sides, the Majestor has a muscular look, largely due to the thick body cladding and prominent shoulder line. It rests on 19-inch alloy wheels. At the back, a sleek light bar connects the LED tail lamps.
Buyers can opt for 6-seat and 7-seat options on the Majestor SUV. The former is only available on the Savvy 4×2 variant. It makes use of individual captain seats for the middle row instead of a bench. The SUV has a boot space capacity of 343 litres, which expands to 1,350 litres once the third-row seats are collapsed. The seats are draped in imitation leather upholstery, and the cabin has a ‘Smoked Ebony’ colour theme.
Talking about creature comforts, the dashboard houses two 12.3-inch screens for the touchscreen infotainment system and digital driver’s display. There’s support for wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Other features include a 12-way powered front seat with memory function, a 12-speaker JBL sound system, a tri-zone automatic climate control system, AC vents for the third row, ambient lighting, a 220V power outlet, wireless charging, and more.
Safety features on the MG Majestor include 6 airbags (front, side, and curtain), Electronic Stability Program (ESP), Traction Control System (TCS), Roll Movement Intervention (RMI), Hill Hold Control (HHC), Hill Assist Control (HAC), ABD with EBD, Brake Assist, TPMS, and more. The Level 2 ADAS package comprises functions like Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Forward Collision Warning (FCW), Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB), Lane Departure Warning (LDW), Blind Spot Detection (BSD), Lane Change/Keep Assist (LCA, LKA), and more.
The Majestor shares its 2.0-litre twin-turbo petrol engine with the Gloster SUV. It produces a maximum power output of 289hp and 478Nm torque. Transmission duties are handled by an 8-speed torque-converter automatic gearbox. The fuel tank has a 75L capacity. The SUV comes in 4×2 and 4×4 drive configurations.
