The front fascia of the Honda City facelift dons a completely new look. The LED headlamps are sleeker than before and come integrated with segmented LED DRLs. These DRLs are connected by a light bar running above the grille. The new grille has a honeycomb pattern, which it shares with the central air dam on the front bumper. Flanking this bumper on either side are triangular air vents. The chrome trim above the grille on the outgoing model has been replaced by a body coloured panel on the facelift. The Honda logo is studded at the centre of this panel.

The sedan’s profile remains unchanged, apart from the new 16-inch dual-tone alloy wheels. At the back, reflectors have been repositioned to the edges of the new two-tone bumper. The faux diffuser is now body coloured. Honda has added a new Crystal Black Pearl paint scheme for the City facelift. Other colour options include Obsidian Blue, Radiant Red, Lunar Silver, Meteoroid Grey, and Platinum White.

Inside, the new Honda City retains the dual-tone colour theme of the outgoing model. It gets a larger 10.1-inch free-floating touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The driver’s cockpit carries forward the semi-digital instrument cluster from the previous model. Other features include a 360-degree camera, an 8-speaker audio system, ventilated front seats, ambient lighting, wireless charging, connected car tech, and more. On the safety front, the sedan rocks 6 airbags, rain-sensing wipers, hill start assist, a Level 2 ADAS package, and more useful features.

Things remain the same under the hood, as the Honda City facelift continues to be powered by the 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder, naturally aspirated petrol engine. This engine generates a maximum power output of 121hp and 145Nm torque. It can be mated to a 6-speed manual transmission or a 7-speed CVT gearbox. The 1.5-litre strong-hybrid engine produces 124hp and delivers a mileage of 27.26km/l.
