Maruti Suzuki has added a limited edition model to the Wagon R hatchback’s lineup in India. Prices for the Maruti Suzuki Wagon R Waltz Edition start at Rs 5.65 lakh. The special edition hatchback comes in 1.0L and 1.2L petrol powertrains and gets cosmetic and feature upgrades. Since this is a limited edition, Maruti Suzuki will manufacture only a certain number of its units.

When it comes to cosmetic upgrades, the Waltz Edition of the Maruti Suzuki Wagon R hatchback gets chrome styling for its grille and fog lamps, bumper protection, extra cladding on the wheel arch, and body-side moulding. Inside, the Waltz Edition gets designer floor mats, interior styling kits, a 6.2-inch infotainment system, and a reverse parking camera.
The Maruti Suzuki Wagon R Waltz Edition is available in two powertrain options – 1.0-litre three-cylinder petrol and 1.2-litre four-cylinder petrol. The 1.2-litre petrol engine is only available on the ZXi Plus variants, producing a maximum power output of 88hp and 113Nm of torque. The 1.0-litre petrol engine on the lower variants puts out 66hp and 89Nm. The Waltz Edition is not available in a CNG configuration. In a CNG guise, the Wagon R engine produces 56hp and 82Nm.
The top-spec variant of the regular Maruti Suzuki Wagon R model packs features like the 7-inch Smartplay Studio infotainment system with smartphone navigation technology, a 4-speaker sound system, steering-mounted controls and an auto gear shift. It also comes with 12+ safety features including two airbags, a speed alert system, seat belt pre-tensioners, force limiters, seat belt reminders, rear parking sensors, hill hold assist and more. The hill-hold control is offered with the AGS variants only.

The Maruti Suzuki Wagon R Waltz Edition is available in LXi, VXi, and ZXi trim levels. However, Maruti has not revealed the full price list yet. In India, the Wagon R rivals the likes of Citroen C3, Renault Kwid, Maruti Swift, Maruti Celerio, Hyundai Grand i10 Nios, and Tata Tiago.
