Maruti Suzuki Celerio next-gen spotted during a commercial shoot

New spy images surfaced of the new Maruti Suzuki Celerio next-gen and this time it was spotted during a commercial shoot. The images are not of the best quality but we can see Celerio name on the number plate to confirm this. And the fact that the company has started to shoot the commercial of the car, the launch can happen anytime soon. Guessing this we can tell that the next-gen Celerio will be launched between the end of November to mid-December.

The company has not started the pre-booking or made any announcement regarding the launch, but last time the car was showcased to showroom owners giving us a clue that the car is all set to launch. The car was initially supposed to launch earlier this year but due to the global pandemic, the launch was postponed. But with so many leaks around in the last few days, we can say that the wait is finally over.

The next-gen Celerio has completely redesigned visuals, comes with a tall design and raised hood. The top of the line specced car is also expected to have daytime running LED (DRLs), alloy wheels, LED taillamps, body-coloured door handles and ORVMs with integrated turn signal lights. With leaked images, we can also see a bolder front bumper holding big fog lamps along with a newly designed rear windshield wiper.

For now, the interior changes are not known, but we can foresee that the company will make it competition-ready with a new design layout, a touchscreen infotainment system, featuring Smartplay Studio 2.0 with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The top trims are expected to get auto climate control and better safety features including dual airbags, ABS with EBD, ISOFIX mounts, rear parking camera with sensors.

Under the hood, powering the car will be the BS6 compliant 1.0-litre three-cylinder K10B petrol engine. The same is capable of producing 66 bhp of max power and 90 Nm of peak torque. For transmission, the car will be available in either a 5-speed manual gearbox and an optional 5-speed AMT unit. Apart from this, the company will continue to offer factory-fitted CNG kits for the same.
