Maruti Suzuki has launched a ‘Blitz’ edition for the Swift hatchback as a part of its festive season sales campaign. The Maruti Suzuki Swift Blitz Edition will be produced in a limited capacity. It incorporates a complimentary accessory kit which is worth Rs 49,900. This accessory kit adds some cosmetic and feature updates to the hatchback. The mechanical specs of the Swift Blitz Edition remain unchanged. The automaker has also launched special festive editions for the Baleno, Grand Vitara, Wagon R, and Ignis.

The Blitz Edition of Maruti Suzuki Swift will be offered in two variants only – VXi and VXi (O). The cosmetic updates on the festive edition hatchback include a rear underbody spoiler, boot spoiler, LED fog lamps, grille garnish, side moulding, door visors, and illuminated door sills. Inside, the Blitz gets new seat covers, floor mats, logo light, a leather black steering, and more.
Other features on the Maruti Suzuki Swift include a floating 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 4.2-inch instrument cluster, wireless charging, Head-up Display, automatic climate control, rear AC vents, push start/stop, and more. Standard safety features include six airbags, Electronic Stability Program+, Hill Hold Assist, an Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD) and Brake Assist, and 3-point seat belts for all seats with reminders.
Powering the 2024 Maruti Suzuki Swift is a new 1.2-litre 3-cylinder Z12E engine that produces a maximum power output of 80hp and 112Nm of torque. This engine can be mated to a 5-speed manual or AMT gearbox. Unlike its Japanese counterpart, the Swift is not available with mild-hybrid tech in India. The hatchback offers a mileage of up to 25.75kmpl.

The 2024 Maruti Suzuki Swift facelift was launched in May 2024 at a starting price of Rs 6.49 lakh. It is available in five variants – LXI, VXI, VXI (O), ZXI, and ZXI+. The top-spec ZXI variant fetches Rs 9.50 lakh. Maruti is hoping that the Blitz Edition will improve the sales of the mid-spec variants. The Maruti Suzuki Swift rivals Hyundai Grand i10 Nios, Renault Kwid, Tata Altroz, and Tata Tiago in India.
