Maruti Suzuki inaugurated its 500th ‘Nexa’ sales outlet yesterday. The 500th outlet popped up in Bangalore, Karnataka. It took Maruti 9 years to accomplish this milestone. The automaker retails its premium offerings like the Grand Vitara, Invicto, Jimny, and more through the Nexa outlets. The ‘Arena’ lineup comprises more affordable offerings like the Swift, Dzire, S Presso, Wagon R, and more. Maruti’s Nexa presence is currently limited to major Indian cities. The premium offerings retailed by Nexa showrooms see more demand in larger showrooms. Maruti Suzuki now plans on bringing the premium retail chain to Tier 2 & 3 cities and towns with its Nexa Studio outlets.
Phase 1 of the Nexa Studio rollout will include up to 30 towns and cities across the country. The automaker will set up 100 Nexa Studio outlets by the end of the current financial year. These outlets will take care of sales and customer services.
The current Nexa outlets were introduced in India back in 2015. Within a year, Maruti Suzuki set up 100 Nexa showrooms across 94 cities. In FY2023-24, the automaker sold over 5.61 lakh vehicles through its premium retail chain, an improvement of 54% over its previous financial year performance. Currently, Nexa accounts for almost 30% of Maruti Suzuki’s domestic sales.
Thanking customers for their continued trust in brand Maruti Suzuki, Mr Hisashi Takeuchi, Managing Director & CEO, Maruti Suzuki India Limited said, “I extend my heartfelt thanks to our customers and our dealer partners for their continued trust in Maruti Suzuki. It is their unwavering support and enthusiasm that inspires us to continuously surpass our own limits and strive for excellence in everything we do.”
He further added, “We owe our success to customers, and it is always our endeavour to provide them with a delightful car ownership experience. One of the biggest reasons for customer satisfaction is proximity of network and buying experience at our sales outlets. As India is growing, the customer preferences are evolving. So, our continued focus is to surpass these preferences through our products and by offering them the best buying experience. The growing NEXA retail network and sales are a testimony to our sustained efforts to provide ‘Joy of Mobility’ to as many people as possible.”
