Mahindra Thar facelit: What to expect?

The new 3-door Thar facelift will take design inspiration from its 5-door sibling, Thar Roxx. It will rock a six-slot grille and C-shaped LED headlamps. The profile of the SUV will remain the same, but it could get a refreshed design for its alloy wheels. This change will likely be limited to the higher variants. At the back, the LED tail lamps will also be C-shaped.

Inside, the 3-door Thar will borrow the 3-spoke steering wheel and the free-standing 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system from the Roxx. Other features will include a front armrest, a reverse parking camera, power window switches on the door trims, wireless charging, and more. The Thar Roxx is decked with premium features like ambient lighting, automatic climate control, a cooled glove box, a front armrest, a panoramic sunroof, a powered driver’s seat, ventilated front seating, a 9-speaker Harmon Kardon sound system, an ADAS package, and more. It remains to be seen whether these creature comforts will make it to the standard model.

Meanwhile, the 2.2-litre turbo diesel engine puts out 132hp.
