Kia Syros is available in 6 variants – HTK, HTK (O), HTK+, HTX, HTX+, and HTX+(O). Out of these variants, HTX+ and HTX+(O) account for the majority of the bookings. This is because of the presence of premium features like twin 12.3-inch displays for the touchscreen infotainment system and digital instrument cluster, a 5-inch climate control system, an 8-speaker Harmon Kardon sound system, a 4-way powered front seat, seat ventilation, reclining and sliding second-row seats, 64-colour ambient mood lighting, wireless charging, and more.
Safety features on the SUV include 6 airbags, Electronic Stability Control, Hill Start Assist, Vehicle Stability Management, Electric Parking Brake with Auto Hold, a 360-degree camera, and more. The Level 2 ADAS package offered with the SUV consists of features like Forward Collision Avoidance Assist, Lane Keep Assist, 360 Degree Camera with Blind View Monitor and Smart Cruise Control with Stop & Go. The Bharat NCAP crash test results for the Syros will come out in the coming weeks.
Kia Syros is available in 2 engine options – a 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine and a 1.5-litre diesel engine. The turbo petrol engine generates a maximum power output of 120hp and 172Nm of torque. It can be linked to a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed DCT gearbox. Meanwhile, the diesel engine produces a maximum power output of 115hp and 250Nm of torque. This engine also gets 2 transmission options – a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque converter gearbox. Interestingly, the Syros does not get the 1.2-litre NA engine that currently powers the Sonet.
