Kia PV5: What to expect?

Kia PV5 will be offered in 3 body styles. The automaker has revealed the Passenger and Cargo models. It will take the wraps off the third model at the debut event on Kia EV Day. Kia PV5 Passenger and Cargo share the basic design. The front fascia of the van features sleek LED strips just below the windshield. The large window area and low beltline allow amazing visibility. It is framed by black graphic glass. This gives the van a striking look, offering a nice contrast to its body colour. The pillars, bonnet, and upper fenders are blacked out.

Kia PV5 Passenger

The Kia PV5 receives ample body cladding along the black geometric wheel arches. The D-pillar line extends to the rear and enhances the van’s sense of volume. The Passenger model has a single lift-up tailgate door while the Cargo model has side-opening doors at the back. Kia will unveil specialised conversion options for the van on February 24.

Kia PV5 Cargo

Not much is known about the interior and cabin layout of the Kia PV5 as of now. The electric van will get different displays for the touchscreen infotainment system and the digital instrument cluster. The Cargo model will trade the rear seats for more luggage space. It remains to be seen how many seating layouts Kia puts forward for the PV5. The powertrain details have also been kept under a tight lid.

Kia PV5 Cargo

Karim Habib, Head of Kia Global Design, said, “While the PV5 is offered in three different body styles to provide innovative solutions for a diverse range of customer needs, they all embody the same consistent design values inspired by Kia’s design philosophy, ‘Opposites United’. Each model confidently expresses a solid, bold, futuristic character and a highly capable attitude”
