Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) has launched a new automatic variant of the Aura sedan. The S AMT variant of Hyundai Aura fetches Rs 8,07,700 and becomes the most affordable automatic model in the sedan’s lineup. Previously, the AMT gearbox was only offered with the SX+ variant. The S trim is also available with a CNG powertrain. However, the CNG models do not offer an automatic transmission.

The S AMT variant of Hyundai Aura gets the following features:
Things remain the same under the hood as the Hyundai Aura continues to be powered by the 1.2-litre Kappa petrol engine. This engine generates a maximum power output of 83hp and 114Nm of torque. In a CNG configuration, this engine puts out 69hp and 95Nm. The CNG variants are only available with a manual transmission.

The S AMT variant of the Aura undercuts the other AMT variant by Rs 87,000. Earlier this year, Hyundai added a new Corporate trim to the sedan’s lineup. The Aura rivals the Tata Tigor, Honda Amaze, and Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire in India.
