The Honda ZR-V will be revealed in India alongside the City facelift on May 22. Honda has dropped a teaser for the hybrid SUV ahead of its debut on Friday. It will officially be called ZR-V e:HEV. The teaser suggests that it will look identical to its international-spec counterpart. The ZR-V will be imported to India as a Completely Built Up (CBU) unit.

The teaser posted by Honda Car India gives a look at the L-shaped LED DRLs. This is consistent with the international model. The Honda logo is placed below the sculpted bonnet. Although it is not pictured in the teaser, the grille will be positioned below the logo. A look at the top of the SUV reveals flush roof rails and a sunroof. The India-spec model may borrow a honeycomb pattern for the grille and 17/19-inch alloy wheel options from the international model. At the back, the ZR-V will feature wraparound tail lamps and two exhaust pipes.
The international-spec ZR-V stands at dimensions of 4,568mm x 1,840mm x 1,620mm, and has a 2,657mm wheelbase. It clears the ground at 180mm and has a boot space capacity of 390 litres. The India-spec model will have identical measurements.
The cabin of the Honda ZR-V will likely have a brown and black dual-tone colour theme. The multi-layered dashboard will rock a free-standing 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system. The driver’s cockpit will be equipped with a 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster. Other creature comforts will include a dual-zone climate control system, memory function for the driver’s seat, a 12-speaker Bose sound system, a panoramic sunroof, wireless charging, and more features. There will be a Level 2 ADAS suite on board.
Honda has kept a tight lid on the powertrain of the India-spec ZR-V, but it is expected to be mechanically identical to its international-spec sibling. If that is the case, it will be powered by a 2.0-litre strong-hybrid petrol engine. On the international model, this engine generates a maximum power output of 180hp and 240Nm torque. It is mated to an e-CVT gearbox. The SUV can go from 0-100km/h in 8 seconds. Its top speed is capped at 172km/h.

The ZR-V is Honda Car India’s first CBU import after the CR-V. Due to the nature of its import route, it will demand a significant premium in India. We expect it to be priced between Rs 40 lakh and Rs 50 lakh. Upon launch, it will rival the Skoda Kodiaq (Lounge) and Volkswagen Tiguan.
