Discounts of up to Rs 6 lakh on MG Gloster, Hector, Astor, and more

MG Motor India is offering hefty discounts on its cars this month. MG Gloster gets the highest discount package as the SUV is set to be replaced with a facelift soon. Buyers can get up to Rs 6 lakh off on the Gloster. MG Motor’s EV offerings in India – ZS EV and Comet EV are also available with significant discounts.

MG Gloster

Maximum Discount: Rs 6 lakh

The discounts for the MG Gloster SUV add up to Rs 6 lakh. The facelifted version of the SUV has been spotted testing in India on multiple occasions. It will be launched in the coming weeks.

The 2.0-diesel engine powering MG Gloster is offered in a ‘turbo’ and ‘twin-turbo’ configuration. The turbo engine can produce a maximum power of 161bhp and 375Nm peak torque, while the twin-turbo engine can generate a maximum power of 215bhp and 380Nm peak torque. The engine is mated to an 8-speed automatic gearbox.

MG Hector

Maximum Discount: Rs 3 lakh

The Hector SUV is available with discounts worth up to Rs 3 lakh. The SUV is available in two powertrain options – a 1.5-litre petrol engine and a 2.0-litre diesel engine. The turbo petrol engine can generate a maximum power of 143hp with a torque of 250Nm, while the diesel engine can churn out 170hp with a torque of 350Nm. Both engines are mated with a 6-speed manual transmission, while the non-hybrid petrol version also gets the option of a CVT automatic.

MG Astor

Maximum Discount: Rs 2 lakh

The Astor SUV gets offers worth up to Rs 2 lakh. It is powered by a 1.5-litre petrol engine. This engine produces a maximum power output of 110hp and 144Nm of torque. Buyers can choose between a 5-speed manual or a CVT gearbox.

MG ZS EV

Maximum Discount: Rs 2.20 lakh

MG Motor’s first EV in India, the ZS EV, is available with a discount of Rs 2.20 lakh. The electric SUV is powered by a front-mounted electric motor that produces a maximum power output of 176hp and 280Nm. The 50.3kWh battery pack offers a driving range of 461km. The EV can go from 0-100kmph in 8.5 seconds.

MG Comet EV

Maximum Discount: Rs 90,000

The compact Comet EV gets Rs 90,000 off this month. Powering the EV is a 17.3kWh battery pack that offers a driving range of 230km. This battery pack has been sourced from Tata AutoComp and is rated IP67 for dust and water resistance. It can be fully charged in seven hours using the 3.3kW charger. The electric motor on the Comet can produce a maximum power output of 42hp and 110Nm of torque.

Conclusion

As mentioned earlier, these discounts are valid till the end of the month. The automaker may extend these offers till September if it is left with enough stock. MG Motor is currently gearing up to launch the crossover Windsor EV on September 11.
